Shining Stars New Farm!
The executive team of Shining Stars has exciting news to share!! The end of last year we were able to purchase a new 60-acre horse farm with the incredibly generous donations from the Rice Family Foundation, the Donny and Amy Smith Family Foundation, the J. William Warehime Foundation, Conewago Enterprises Foundation, the Hoffman Family Foundation, Tricia Warehime, Russel Williams, and Vern and Brenda Leese.
This farm will allow Shining Stars to expand and add to the amazing programs currently being offered. We will remain in our current farm until after all the renovations will be completed but have been working the past several months with architects and engineers to create an amazing place that will be our forever home….and now we are so thrilled to share it with you! Our renovations will cost nearly $1.5 million but will be a state of the art facility offering opportunities to grow into the future.
The new facility will feature 21 horse stalls, a spectacular viewing area for families that includes special spaces for siblings, a gathering space for our veterans where they can enjoy coffee, meeting space, and gather before heading to the barn. It will also have specially designed accessible grooming areas where clients can interact more easily with their equine friends a cart barn connected directly to the huge arena to allow for the easy transition of our cart driving program directly into the arena during cold and inclement weather and so much more. We invite you to follow us as we introduce unique ways that you can be a part of this capital campaign!
